The fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift has been launched in the Indian market with several enhancements. This new Swift brings more changes in design, features, and safety for customers. It now comes with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine.

Maruti Suzuki New Swift Launched

The design of this new Swift has been kept similar to the previous model but with some significant changes. It features a new front bumper, redesigned radiator grille, new headlights, and fog lights. Additionally, Maruti has retained the rear door handles in their usual position. Not only that, but the car also includes new alloy wheel designs and C-shaped pattern tail lamps. It is available in nine colors, including three dual-tone paint options and two new blue and red shades.

The car has a premium appearance with a large floating 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system placed in the center of the new textured dashboard. Moreover, the seats come with new fabric, central air conditioning, new HVAC switches, and a 4.2-inch digital MID with an updated analog cluster in the top-spec Swift ZXI+ variant. Safety-wise, it includes six airbags, ISOFIX anchors, rear parking sensors, standard safety kit with ABS, EBD, and ESC, and hill start assist available only with the automatic variant.

On the other hand, the new Swift comes with the 1.2-liter Z series engine paired with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options, producing 82hp and 112Nm of torque.

Competitors like the Tata Tiago and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios are also present in the market. The ex-showroom prices for the Tiago and Grand i10 Nios start from 5.65 lakh and 5.92 lakh rupees respectively, slightly lower than the introductory prices of the new Swift.

The prices for the new Swift variants are as follows: LXI MT - 6.49 lakh rupees, VXI MT - 7.30 lakh rupees, VXI AMT - 7.80 lakh rupees, VXI (O) MT - 7.57 lakh rupees, VXI (O) AMT - 8.07 lakh rupees, ZXI MT - 8.30 lakh rupees, ZXI AMT - 8.80 lakh rupees, ZXI+ MT - 9.00 lakh rupees, and ZXI+ AMT - 9.50 lakh rupees (all prices ex-showroom).
