Olivia Hussey Eisley, Star of ‘Romeo and Juliet,’ Passes Away at 73

 Olivia Haighway, a British actress, born 20 April 1948, died at the age of 73 Olivia Hussey Eisley, the actress who gained the fame of performing in the 1968, movie version of Romeo and Juliet. The news was shared through a post on her official Instagram page of her account.



“It is with deeply sorrows that we have to announce the demise of Olivia Hussey Eisley,” the statement. “It is for the record that, to the glory of God, she died a natural death at home with family members around her on the 27th of December. Olivia was an amazing lady who extended unreserved and genuine courtesy, and she held the knowledge we needed in the society as well as the warmth we required in our lives.


Hussey started in Argentina and grew up in Britain, and her performance in Romeo /Juliet gave her the accolade of a world `caret’ with a golden globe for the best actress. To a large extent, she is always remembered for her portrayal of Juliet in the film.


Alongside the plays, Olivia was in the original horror movie Black Christmas giving her the necessary grounding in film to make her one of the bestselling stars in Hollywood.


Hussey will be honoured for the talent she had and for the good role she played in the life of anyone who knew her. She is pre-deceased by her family, friends, and millions of lovers who valued her performances.
