Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Assets Increased Over 5 Years

Prime Minister Narendra Modi filed his nomination papers for the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency. He disclosed his total assets, which amounted to 3.02 crore rupees.

Despite not owning any house or car in his name, Prime Minister Modi is a crorepati, with investments alongside his assets.

His income for the financial year 2018-19 was 11,14,230 rupees, which increased to 23,56,680 rupees in 2022-23.

He has cash in hand amounting to 52,920 rupees and maintains bank accounts with a balance of 73,304 rupees in SBI's Gandhinagar branch and 7,000 rupees in the Varanasi branch.

Modi has fixed deposits worth 2,85,60,338 rupees in SBI and 9.12 lakh rupees in NSC.

Additionally, he possesses four gold rings valued at 2,67,750 rupees.

Comparing his assets from 2014 to 2019, Modi's wealth has significantly increased. In 2019, he declared assets worth 2.51 crore rupees, up from 1.66 crore rupees in 2014.

The first person to get a pig kidney transplant has sadly passed away two months after the surgery. His name was Richard “Rick” Slayman, and he was very ill with kidney disease before he had the special surgery in March this year.

Doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) said that his death wasn't because of the new kidney. Even though there have been problems with using organs from modified pigs before, Slayman's operation was seen as a big step forward. He also had Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure, which made his health even more complicated. Back in 2018, he got a human kidney transplant, but it didn't work well after five years.

It's important to know that while Slayman was the first person to get a pig kidney, others have received pig hearts in the past. Sadly, those didn't work out, and the patients passed away soon after. Sometimes, the body's defense system rejects the new organ, which is a common issue in transplants.

The Citroën C3 Aircross SUV features 17-inch Clover Leaf design alloy wheels. Therefore, it's expected that the C3 Aircross will also feature in the Basalt Portfolio. Additionally, alloy wheels may be available.

Toyota offers the Innova Crysta GX+ in five colors: Platinum White Pearl, Super White, Avant-Garde Bronze Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, and Silver Metallic.

Last month, the company launched a 7-seater version and an 8-seater layout with the new Toyota Innova Crysta Hycross GX(O) variant. The 7-seater variant is priced at 21.13 lakh rupees, while the 8-seater model costs 20.99 lakh rupees. The GX+ variant of the Toyota Innova Crysta is priced at 21.39 lakh rupees for the 7-seater version and 21.44 lakh rupees for the 8-seater version, ex-showroom. However, prices may vary in different states.

The fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift has been launched in the Indian market with several enhancements. This new Swift brings more changes in design, features, and safety for customers. It now comes with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine.

Safety-wise, it includes six airbags, ISOFIX anchors, rear parking sensors, standard safety kit with ABS, EBD, and ESC, and hill start assist available only with the automatic variant.

On the other hand, the new Swift comes with the 1.2-liter Z series engine paired with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options, producing 82hp and 112Nm of torque.

Competitors like the Tata Tiago and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios are also present in the market. The ex-showroom prices for the Tiago and Grand i10 Nios start from 5.65 lakh and 5.92 lakh rupees respectively, slightly lower than the introductory prices of the new Swift.

The prices for the new Swift variants are as follows: LXI MT - 6.49 lakh rupees, VXI MT - 7.30 lakh rupees, VXI AMT - 7.80 lakh rupees, VXI (O) MT - 7.57 lakh rupees, VXI (O) AMT - 8.07 lakh rupees, ZXI MT - 8.30 lakh rupees, ZXI AMT - 8.80 lakh rupees, ZXI+ MT - 9.00 lakh rupees, and ZXI+ AMT - 9.50 lakh rupees (all prices ex-showroom).
